Well Heim is clear on cosmological origins - the 3 spheres of dimension amazingly close to 1 metre: one of those cosmic coincidences - they then divided until they became the metrons of today, of dimension Planck radius. I don't think a big crunch is foretold, as it took 10**170 years or so to get from the ' big-3-spheres' phase. Probably depends on dimensions of dark energy force due to gravito-photons. Have you seen that
