The WMAP Satellite

The WMAP was launched in 2001 and has provided a detailed picture of the early universe, with unprecedented precision, when it was 380,000 years old. The WMAP satellite has gien us a precise measurement of the age of the universe with a 1 percent accuracy. The age of the universe is 13.7 billion years.
