Of all the forces, Gravity is the most fundmental. After all, Gravity is not only associated with Mass, but Energy is also effected by it - gravitational lensing.
So, a photon, often described as the carrier of electromagnetic force is also effected by gravity.
Coincidence?
Or are both gravity and electromagnetic force inextricably linked in some way. Could they be different attributes of the same thing?
It's also worth noting that Einstein's original concept of a 4 dimensional SpaceTime was nothing more than a mathematical convenience. It has, however, become enshrined as the cornerstone of an almost religous view of the Universe.
The fabric of SpaceTime is not a literal material.
