What happens in a black hole..?
Newton's third law might yet be satisfied if we regard the black hole as the effect of the creation of galaxies, the reaction to the action.
If there is reluctance in accepting that hypothesis, the above rendition represents the cutting edge of the interpretation of what goes on in a black hole. Also an action-reaction scenario:

As the black hole consumes some of the material, it also superheats some and shoots it out along the galaxy's axis of rotation, in two jets of matter shown here in light blue.

For all we know, the matter that enters a black hole is simply being converted. Laws of conservation of mass might yet be upheld because we are not really certain about what really goes on there. Antonio, I'm pretty sure neutrinos are involved.

Using multiple wavelengths of light, astronomers can see through the dust to view what's going on right around the black hole, allowing its detection. The yellow area is a disk of matter falling into the black hole.
