I see the strong nuclear force the more fundamental of all. Gravity is the most broad in the sense that it connects to all energy, but strong nuclear seems a much more convincing force as cornerstone.

According to physicists, yes. There at least strong connections between them: for example, in the black hole, the electric charges are opposite to matter, so when this one enters in contact with it, they destroy realasing energy. some of this energy is mass. and some is released as light. from mass to light, that is, from gravity to electromagnetism.
