Michael, I think we'll have to disagree. The miasma that you refer to as the fog of glamour seems to me to be more appropriately (and equitably) termed arrogance. This applies equally to men and women (I wasn't aware that glamour applied to men, east or west) and is without redeeming qualities as a term. I think of glamour as a vainglorious pursuit, egotistical yes, but along the lines of pride, which is bad if taken to extreme. I guess I can't help to quibble over words, occupational hazard!
