LaTeX support is back! - 04-07-2006, 01:49 AM

I have finished the LaTeX implementation and managed to save all the existing LaTeX code! I had to go into the database and manually modify 143 records. There are some differences from the original implementation:
  1. The images no longer show a white background when viewed with Firefox and IE.
  2. If you hover your mouse over the formula, the LaTeX code will show.
  3. The images are created one time only. Any future formula that had previously been rendered will reuse this image. This is the same as before but you may not have noticed.
  4. There were some security holes before. Not anymore.
Here are some LaTeX references if you're new to latex and would like to learn more:
  1. The Not So Short Introduction to LaTeX
  2. A Crash Course in LaTeX © MathMedics, LLC
  3. LaTeX Symbol Reference
You can also view the original thread that introduced LaTeX to the forums here.

Let me know if you find any problems.
