we have to kill in order to live, that's part of the grand humour of this life! I don't agree with staying alive at any cost. I agree that it is a personal journey but this does not impact on whether you chose to make your death significant. I'm not sure I agree that you are obligated to seek vengence on your killer in the next life, perhaps you are obligated to forgive her, though.
Sub, your question is being played out in reality in Darfur, Sudan, in Haiti, in so many other places. Sadly, it's not too hypothetical.
