| This reminds me of a poem I wrote in middle school
the beautiful murmur of the finch's call
echoes in resonance upon the walls
the gorillas beauty, both strong and immense
is exhibited fully, from through the fence
they aren't extinct, though they do not roam free
they're an exhibit now for the curious to see
but who, might I ask, fashions zoos for a person?
in case that our species' condition might worsen
not hard to deduce is the fact that we might
destroy, as we've others, ourselves from our plight |
