Absolutelly true. This is part of Nietzsche's philosophy, particularly what he goes explaining throughout 'The Twilight of the Idles' which in my opinion is his best book (although it isn't his most profound book, it is his most independent book). The main argument is that the idles change in form (before it was god, now it is money; before it was war, now it is sport...) but have the same significance (subversion of the masses). |
