Michael, there is much to be said for intuition and generational memory (is that the term? I can't remember). Inevitably, one runs into problems in trying to describe truth achieved by intuition to others. I find it is nearly impossible! Also, sadly, we humans have turned our shared intuition into ways of domination, through politics, religion, etc. There is a danger, when using the phrase 'universal truths' that someone will co-opt the intuition and turn it to nefarious uses. So while I agree with you, I am just SO cautious about putting forth concepts that could be subverted.
