Sid, I agree that this knowledge is necessary, but i don't think it is sufficient. I think your definition is better applied to the GUT. I think the TOE also has to take into account things like the Golden Ratio, Pi, the 5 Platonic solids, and fractals and universal harmony. There are some seriously cool mathematical patterns that need explaining and I don't think that physics alone will fully address itself to them. I think the TOE has to combine several disciplines because the rules of each discipline have become so convoluted that they are preventing us from seeing the forest for the trees...I think the only way to reach truth is to combine the disciplines and use a wholistic approach. After all, the elephant looks different depending on what you are holding, doesn't it?
