Well, maybe I'm mistaken, but I think TOE is about becoming (be it partly darwinian or not). To me, this M-fractal is. It doesn't live and become. It is. You can zoom in on it, you can do things with colours, iterations, etc. But it doesn't move. While the world does. TOE must account for that. Above Guille mentioned chaostheory. TOE must be something essential on which and out of which this world can be and develope.
