I play this game, called Mage the ascension, and Ed Leedskalnin is one such creature within the world of darkness contiuum. What you describe with the tuning fork, is what is in the Sons of Ether tradition book.

I myself share a belief or two with this Leedskalnin. I believe that all phenomena, at it's heart is Magnetic in nature. That Electricity arises from magnetic fields. I find it hugely interesting that whenever I look into magnetic research by various people, including my favorite Innovator, Nikolai Tesla, they often are found performing amazing resonance experiments. Presumably as magnetic experiementation.

People often scoff at the importance of magnets. I know of no other field in the universe which is capable of levitating another body. Their almost magical, and it is this magic which I wish to understand and turn into "sufficently advanced technology"
