Your article is engrossing. Its singularly commendable.
Though ,not a scientist, I have been working on the subject
on my own for decades and have different opinion.
I think since the time we invented singularity our thinking was clouded and we ignored the reality of small scale infinity or quantum infinity which existed right under our nose. In the 'mest' theory [mest is an acronym for mass, energy, time and space] I am proposing the existence of our universe between two infinities probably meeting at every point of the universe. The large scale infinity i.e. the relative infinity or spatial infinity ensconses gravity. This is on the larger scale from every physical point, be it a mountain or an atom. On the smaller scale there is a quantum infinity which can reach to zero only if divided into 2 for infinite times. Therfore , mathmatically it never reaches to zero or a singularity. The large scale infinity at every mathematical point makes a curve over space time to meet the small scale infinity. At a proposed point of singularity, the laws of quantum universe break and only gravity remains.
The impasse we see in the quest of toe is primarily because of the fact that
we are dealing with one entity having four attributes-- mass, energy, time and space.
