Hi TinyTree,

your explination on time travel from the empirical point of view is correct and actualy the most understandable concept to the broader public however empirical explination is somewhat connected with more scientific approach and that is basicaly information existence or non-existence.

Let us assume that all the Universe ( macro and micro terms too ) is our perception ( based on interpretation on our instruments and our general logic ).It would mean at the end that macro and micro levels are considered as the same thing, also let us assume that this does not authomaticaly erase all the facts we know about Universe ( mass, energy, time, forces, space ) however we may accept that corrections in interaction between these 5 facts are acceptable if proven logical ( this term is the closest one to one I have in mind ).There are many consequences of this assumption which have huge implications but I will now move forward to just one, as you know our memory is an information storage place which actualy detect and store unique non-repeatable information which could be processed and modified for many reasons if needed.Time itself could be very roughly explained as a measurement of mass/energy and-or mass/energy interaction therefore what we store in memory is time related information.Existence or non-existence of information in the assumed Universe would give us many possible theories and I will extract some of the interesting key points from it.

1. Time travel is impossible in the same time line however it is possible in other time lines ( implication on traveling in other time lines are quite remarkable )- it would mean that, if time travel technology is not capable of solving traveling safely between time lines, there could be no traveleres from other time lines detectable to us
2. Time itself is an essential part of the so-called unified force theory, this in our assumed Universe would even mean that time actually is the so-called unified force
3. Existence or non-existence of single or total information ( could be anything from 0... ) in our assumed Universe is only directed from parameter time- if we now apply our gewneral knowledge we will see that there are 3 solutions to this
- number of informations in total is always the same
- from the creation of Universe number of informations in total is getting lower
- from the creation of Universe number of informations in total is getting higher

best regards,
