Muthu,yes indeed the icecaps at both poles are rapidly decreasing in size,the glaciers of
Greenland are disappearing at a rate of knots.

There is also the idea of vast amounts of C02 gas trapped in the ocean floor,being
suddenly released,there has been reports of boats sinking into a upflow and upwelling
of gas,the boat apparently loses all buoyancy and sinks!

This may explain the disappearances of various ships in the so called "Bermuda Triangle".

There are some who think that every few thousand or so years,huge amounts of this
gas is realeased into the atmosphere and this causes climatic change,either of a warming
up,the "green-house effect" or a lessoning of temperature,resulting in another "ice-age".
