Rather than thinking of beginning with "everything" (yes, that is absurd), think of beginning with ONE THING.
Put it all under the heading of "SOMETHING ABSOLUTE or ABSOLUTELY NOTHING" and ask the same question of each of them.
"What would there be if you EXISTED?"
You'll find that one of them is impossible and the other one isn't. Now you'll have one thing that you can begin with.
You'll have one thing that is INDEPENDENT and NOT RELATIVE, which will give you two implications you can work with. "Just looking for an absolute and trying to understand the relatives,
and if your relatives are anything like mine...!" |
