Will science ever recognize enlightnement? - 03-31-2007, 05:00 PM

If *Re-alization or Enlightenment is our ultimate destination as the brightest in the wisdom traditions suggest, will science ever back this up, or is this too far out of sciences grasp?

Ken Wilber does a pretty good job imo, though he certainly has some criritcs. I don't have the patience to comb through every criticism he has had, though I have yet to see one that eliminated his developmental model of spirit journey through matter back to spirit.

Feel free to play around with this if you like, I love this topic in all its forms...

Only Breath
Not Christian or Jew or Muslim, not Hindu
Buddhist, sufi, or zen. Not any religion
or cultural system. I am not from the East
or the West, not out of the ocean or up
from the ground, not natural or ethereal, not
composed of elements at all. I do not exist,
am not an entity in this world or in the next,
did not descend from Adam and Eve or any
origin story. My place is placeless, a trace
of the traceless. Neither body or soul.
I belong to the beloved, have seen the two
worlds as one and that one call to and know,
first, last, outer, inner, only that
breath breathing human being.
