Abracadabra, the magician’s sleight of hand is quicker than the speed of light. The rabbit appears. The smoke disperses. The first is how the universe came to be. The second is how a human being loses consciousness at the end of a short eventful process of dying. Human consciousness suddenly appears when a female ovum met a male sperm cell. Focusing it takes roughly a hundred years. Many consciousnesses stay unfocused for the duration. The few that became sharply focused were elevated to the levels of genius. However, no consciousness can ever prolong its physical stay inside the human brain for more than 150 years.
