mkirkpatrick;29520. I agree. I don't think lots of bizarre things will happen. It's kind of like the Y2K deflation. Everybody expected the end of times, the Anti-Christ, tectonic disasters, etc...and it passed like a ship in the fog at night. It's been written. It's predicted physical effects. They were seen. They were corroborated multiple times by independent labs in different experiments. The data was reduced using a variety of algorithms. Multiple teams of independent researchers published the results multiple times in multiple peer reviewed journals, admittedly some of them were lesser known, but the Ap. J., and Il Nuovo Cimento C, are hardly ATM. The chance that it's wrong is less than 1/10,000, and the enthusiasm has been like the Generals reactions to reports of the large formation of planes approaching Pearl Harbor in December, 41......the silence was deafening. Everybody knows THAT can't have happened. Pete.
