ToeQuest had previously supported LaTeX; however, whenever a major upgrade to the forum software took place, the LaTeX implementation lagged by several weeks. I was hesitant to add it back this last time because it was my own implementation and had several known security issues that I just didn't have the time to fix.
I'd like to give special thanks to Dave, who is the administrator over at the original Science Forums (SFN), for releasing the vBulletin plugin that I'm using. You can read Dave's announcement in his blog entry.
I have just finished the LaTeX upgrade and was able to save the previous 350 posts that were using the LaTeX tags! LaTeX should now be operational with the following features.- You must surround your LaTeX code with [ math ] and [ /math ], but without the spaces. Previously the tags [ tex ] and [ /tex ] where used.
- If you hover your mouse over the formula, the LaTeX code will show.
- If you click the formula, a popup window will appear with a nicely formatted view of the LaTeX code.
Here are some LaTeX references if you're new to latex and would like to learn more:- The Not So Short Introduction to LaTeX

You can also view the original thread that introduced LaTeX to the forums here.
Let me know if you find any problems.
