Thanks for your response North. No I'm not thinking of lines or strings that would be a one-dimensional entity. I'm thinking of a plane or area as in s2 or pir2. I know a three-dimensional entity would no longer be a three dimensional entity if it collapsed to a two-dimensional reality.
