Talking about cats, something makes me wondering...

You know some animals can feel an earthquake coming before we experience it, that's because they sense the longitudinal waves before we experience the earthquake.

Also think about the guide-dog of the blind man in the WTC.
Did the dog sense the building would collapse?

In some hospital, a cat was present. But a strange thing happened. Everytime, exactly four hours before somebody died, the cat spontaneously jumped on the bed of the relevant patient, like it wanted to console the patient who was dying.

How?; What mechanism would the cat use, to know this?

Some animals perceive the world in another way than we do; think about bats (perceive with sound very accurately), pigeons (GPS), bees,...
