I haven't visited the forum for months and it's good to see it's evolving. The Posting Rules haven't been around a few months ago, but it's good to outline a few so to make growing amount of information clearer. The only thing I don't agree with is that "politics have nothing to do with TOE". It's true, however, that poltics are a huge breaker and the way they should be introduced into TOE is through Social Sciences which certainly would deserve a thread or even a forum apart within TOE ("Social Sciences and TOE"). Discussions in it should be strictly cut to the relationship between the two subjects so not to turn it into something purely political.
As regarding to the specific topics of this thread, reading stuff posted here after a few months off is definitely convincing me that TOE is coming over. I arrived by myself to the idea of reformulating time as CONSTANT (not eternal) present which could not be measured, of course, in our earthly hours. It would have to find a measurment tool which would be valid for the entire Universe (or as much as we know of it) and I see the proposal to use an elementary particle or a photon as such tool as a huge step ahead in creation of the TOE. Of course, and I must insist upon it again, it would raise the question of how much time do we - the humans - have left already not on Earth, but in the Universe and how could we stretch it using the four fundamental properties which compose Universe's fabric: matter, energy, space-time. |
