regards michael.
Once a person likes to develop a new cosmological theory, Ether (perhaps in variant names or inherent properties) will be helpful when compared to "strict vacuum".

Even though "vacuum view" dominates physics textbooks, many names like fields, quantum fields, spacetime continuum, zero-point-energy are ether-like rather than "strict vacuum".
