For the uninitiated, regarding Nobody's second paragraph above, he refers to positive and negative acceleration - a non uniformly increasing speed, and, a non uniformly decreasing speed.
Applied to concentricities, this applies to expansion and contraction, respectively.
(With regard to the hapless MJA, Nobody is - much - faster...
