If I refer the average person to someone like Richard Kuklinski, Hitler, Stalin, etc., they are sure to label them as evil. Though I would label them as sick in the head, which brings us to genetic, parental, and social influences.
The above three factors I would suggest are the cause of actions that would result in a concept such as evil. Only the mind can turn a sinner into a saint and a saint into a sinner.
If you then ask, what is sin? I would say whatever opposes inner conscience - lying, stealing, murder - as opposed to not knowing the difference between right and wrong, which is the definition of insanity. |
