I know you see us having "split psyche" - what does this mean actually?

Hi Tina, yes, let's hope she continues to smile.
'Split psyche' refers quite simply to our split from the Natural world. I think this has caused us psychological grief! If you think about the billions of years it took for the evolving organism to reach the point of Humans, it is quite a radical leap to, more or less
suddenly, consider ourselves 'separate' from the rest of Nature.
I think this may have been because we were not particularly adept at survival in the 'wild'. There are creatures with better eye-sight, longer claws, faster legs. There are better swimmers, and the newly emerging 'birds' with their 'miraculous' powers of flight. We were just weak! - And probably being eaten out of existence! All this is enough to force a new kind of survival technique to appear, and that is our
imagination. This could also explain why we still suffer from an 'inferiority complex', which we like to pretend is 'superior'.
Imagination can save us, and be a 'good' thing, but just look at the 'evil' it can do, also!
