| Re: The Human belief systems. Hi Sally and PIF; PIF, I agree with what you are saying. I think becoming like little children is a metaphor, to return to our basic instincts. Not only are they honest but also trusting. When my daughter and grandson visited me in July, he was 7 months old. I would pick him up , no screaming or fussing, rather he would open his little arms trusting me. PIF if you did the same to him you also would have the same reaction from him. How beautiful is his love, truth and trust. Well, we have to train this little guy to be wary of strangers. I'm not sure how many children are spared because of this advice, but it carries with it many negative consequences.e.g. Fear and mistrust of their fellow man is surely one of them. Indeed, little Kevin will be kicked out of Eden also, only to begin his quest to return. Such is all of our lot in life. Sally; It sounds like you're a great mom. You love them the best you can, and God's will, will be done. Best to both of you, Pat P.S. I think I might hug a tree today PIF since I don't have anyone living with me, and I really do like nature. |
