Yes I've noticed this too! But I can name a few cases where a new member was pounced on by longstanding members
. I think we have to be aware that new members are perhaps not going to immediately express themselves clearly (Toequest gives the uninitiated headspins) nor do they yet fully understand the meaning behind the expression of others. So I say:
HANDLE NEW MEMBERS WITH CARE
