So if a person lived to be 877.714285712 years old back then (I am just using my age as the example since 900 is too difficult for me to figure exactly 109.714285714 x 8 = the 877 number), that is 32 x 8 = 256 years as we know it.

*** 256 is still much more than todays lifespans and 969 [Methusela] will be even worse.
Also, what about Mahalaleel and Enoch who had sons when they were 65 years old: 65/8 gives just over 8 years old?
Further, with the ages given in the bible I calculate a date around 3,600 BC for the time the first man appeared.
Egyptian records of pharoahs date back to 3,200 so it is clear that the ages given in the bible are genuine compared to those sources although those egyptian records would have been subject to the same phenomenon you described if that phenomenon did in fact exist .
