That's a little much said. The simple truth is you shouldn't believe all you read, because literarry everything can be written as it can be spoken or sung but that doesn't mean everything that's written, spoken or sung is true. You can quite easily explain religion as being a lie, a lie to protect us from fear of the unknown or for an enemy. We don't understand something-> that's scary for some->let's make up something that makes us "understand" it-> hooray! the fear is gone. The Romans are really evil and we don't stand a chance=>let's produce the chance by imagination or even better...produce victory by imagination =>heaven, where all the good people (that's us ofcourse) go in the end. There is no evidence whatsoever for any religion to be true and there's every reason to believe it's a human invention. That doesn't make it impossible for God to exist, but you will not find his/her story in religion for sure. In religion you can find wisdom and stupidity. Recognizing them both for what they are is the most you can get out of religion I guess.
