| Re: An Idea Hi Bob; Thank you for your very interesting post. Sort of a brief history of mankind. I also agree with the concept of limits, both in nature, and in mankind. The pyramids are a good example, you can only go so high before they collapse, and the way that was determined was building one that did collapse. The same was true for cathedrals. Also you can see man's evolutionary growth through architecture. First Stonehedge, impressive that they could place those massive rocks on top of those stones. Next the pyramids, more impressive of man's skills, and then, the what I think is the apex, the cathedral. ( All dedicated to the Divine ). The skyscrapers, while also impressive lost much of it's beauty do to efficiency. ( dedicated to the new religion-business ). So again thanks for your post, Pat |
