You are a member, just not a dues paying member.
Members who pay dues get some advantages, but I'll let Robert explain those.
I think the money is used to help fund the cost of running Toequest. ( and Robert's vacation to Hawaii)

I believe the dues are $25 for a year though any contribution I'm sure would be welcomed.
