Sorry Pat .... this is not correct .... roughly speaking Sea Slime, Sea Life, then Vegetation, then Insects, then amphibians, reptiles, dinosaurs and mammals.Sorry Greg you just gave me back the exact order I gave you but you just added some steps.
Sea slime ( is vegetation ), Sea creatures, Rertiles, Mammals and lastly Man.

But this is not correct entirely, you cannot look at it sequentially, as many species overlapped, much of evolution consists of bugger all happening interspersed with explosions of life of all different species. These have been matched against significant changes in the environment, usually great disasters where 90% of life is wiped out leaving the other 10% to diversify and occupy new territory. eg: Birds are the only living dinosaurs, but were not the last dinosaurs to evolve.

cool bananas ... greg

(Will you and I ever agree on evolution ... ya gotta update that hi-school knowledge man.Greg I'm not quite sure why you bring up this "high school stuff" If it's an attempt to belittle my evolutionary theories it's not going to work. If we are gonna build a TOE together we gotta take the best from each ... )
Best to you,

Pat
