Actually I agree with Neutralino. Further Neutralino is one of the Einsteins at this Toequest Site. No need for sarcasm. Do you think one atom of gold would appear gold in color?

A little research yielded this:

The thing
about the Bohr model is that it's really handy to get you started in the
physics of atoms and to allow you to gain a mental picture of what's
happening around an object so small that can't be observed directly, even
with the cool toys we have these days. It is also convenient to teach at
the high school level since, with few exceptions, physics isn't taught with
calculus.
