Wink great circle, shed light on infinity - 08-20-2005, 12:53 AM

I'm not sure which forum this goes in, but I consider it to be philosophy of cosmology. This was spurred on by, and is in somewhat reference to, this post. It concerns the circle.

The circle explains to us the nature of infinity, how it can be finite in one respect (outside observer), and infinite in another (inside observer). The intriguing reason why the circle is so edifying to us is because we live in a higher dimensionality than the circle exists in; we see the circle from outside the circle's reality! Just like how we wish we could look at outselves. Well, cheaters can just look at the circle, to get the big picture.

If you measure a circle, considering nothing but the circle, your measurement should be relative to the thickness of the pencil-lead used to draw the circle. Considered this way, a big circle, drawn with a dull, fat pencil, is the same size as a small circle, drawn with a fine, sharp pencil. Thus a true circle, which would have to be drawn with an infinitely small pencil thickness, is truely immeasurable unto itself.

So the perfectly conceived circle cannot be measured in relative terms that regard the circle. It can only be measured relative to something outside the circle. This allegory is metaphorical and symbolic of the TOE.

From now on I will submit riddles, in the spirit of my post "the cosmic riddle". I hope you enjoy
