God, who I prefer to call the source, must exist…..

There was the matter that caused the big bang, the source for everything in our known universe. This matter was created by something and the something that created that thing which created the material for our big bang was also created by something else. This makes the source of all things truly infinite because the original source of everything and all other sources is part of everything. (Conservation of mass and energy) If there was originally some mass or energy that created something than it is part of everything else, no matter how infinite we think the universe and other universes and divine beings above the divine beings goes on for it all comes back to one moment in time when the ORIGINAL source was created. Before that there was nothing, but since the source is all things it is also that nothing. The source both exists and does not exist at the same time. It is both everything and nothing all at once.

So in effect “What created god?” …. God created itself, but was also the nothingness before it was even created. God is everything and everything is god, but god is also nothing at the same time which means that EVERYTHING is nothing.
I tend to also think nothing is everything. Non-existence is the infinite everything. Because all that infinite information cannot actually exist anywhere, it realms in non-existence meaning that before the big bang there was actually everything-the infinite, but because it was everything it was nothing. I dislike the word god, but I'm assuming your definition is irreligious. And your cause and effect, that something sparked the big bang and something else created that and so on... Maybe it was a completely random event without any cause/source. What if nothing (=everything) created the Universe?

Quick and scrumptious garlic bread that will complement any Italian meal. Melted mozzarella is optional, but delicious!
