I can well remember my grandfather coming to me one day,(long after he had died)and
knowing that I was to soon visit my grandmother who was still "alive" at the time, and asking me to relay his thoughts to her, this placed me in an awkward situation as my
grandmother did not believe in the continuity of life,(she hoped there was a heaven)and
I said to my grandfather that i would do my best.
When i did visit her,she was remembering him and talking about their 50 odd years of
marriage, this gave me an opportunity to say i believed him to be in heaven looking down
and thinking of her, this brought tears to her eyes, and was quite acceptable to her.
