A vortex is just another way of defining the process of transforming chaotic EM wave functions of space through a series of harmonic functions of fields to a single symmetry wave function of the final point source particle. Black holes do the same thing IMO; they’re just big enough to suck in all the smaller vortices and stars. Both rely on angular momentum to sustain the process.
