Sorry I missed this chat. I believe we might be able to make more headway (and agreement) if we describe consiousness in terms of physics and systems.

For instance, if consciousness is anything, it must be a manifestation of energy. The same is true for emotion. And if there are variations of both, then the distributions of energy must vary. Further, any and all emotions, if they can be described and investigated using the scientific method, must be systematic.

From a systems and physics perspective, I believe there is great potential for agreement in describing and understanding consciousness. I look forward to TOE revisiting this as a chat topic.
