A number of you may be familar with the movie CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND, where they communicated with the aliens, using a language that consolidated both color and sound. In my An Idea I also assigned a sound ( part of the octave ) to each area of the Venn Diagram. Newton himself did the same thing, naturally equating sound with color. My assignment is very similar to his.  newton's hue circle the original "color circle" (1704) superimposed on the spectral and extraspectral hues (there is no "magenta" or "purple" light in the spectrum); capital letters refer to notes of the diatonic scale
