Note that the big bang theory does not state that the universe was "created" by something-- it merely states that at some time in the past the universe was a lot denser and hotter than it is now, and that the universe has expanded from that initial state.
Saying that "everything is nothing" is a pretty weird comment to make, if you ask me. Go and tell a beggar on the street to stop whinging because he "has everything"-- I imagine that won't go down too well!
I don't like the idea of god-- it's just like putting another parameter into the model to make it work.
