We eat lots of spuds here in Turkey,my favorite is fresh chopped tomatoes,lots of fresh garlic(no vampires round here)chickpeas,and of course potatatoes(or spuds)as we called them in the UK,fresh cumin seeds fried with onions,place together in a large pan and simmer gently until spuds are soft,with a few pieces of Turkish delight for afters,heaven,
