With the discovery of mirror neurons, it is quite possible that consciousness is just a perception of the brain and is not a seperate entity or is not a entity detached from the brain.
Hence with death everything dies....

What if consciousness is arising concurrently in conjunction with the 'appearance' of the brain as a result of the brain.
A mutual arising, and that the brain is only an i-dea arising within Consciousness.
Consciousness does not need a brain, it is the source within which the brain arises, and not separate from.
There can be no separate entity.
Every-thing arises and disappears, mutually together.
'appearing' both real and non real,
identified via the brain,.. 'self referential' an association with the self recognizing the self
Is is The self knowing it is dreaming IT-self. LUCID.
Does the brain then act as an antenna picking up and re-cognizing data.
Data already conceived.
Like when a radio picks up a signal and music appears in the radio, yet the music is not the radio.
So nothing can ever die ''appearances'' are the illusionary images of consciousness, that was never born.
