Graham..you certainly have a profound way of expressing yourself. "The forlorn sound of the loon"...I love it as it breaks the morning and etches out across a huge expanse of water..its like in one moment the juxtoposition of a weary soul contemplating life in a solitary moment of aloneness yet a cry that asks us to devour more of life. Strange is it not how this errie sound and cry seems to be capable of reaching right down to our deepest depths..smiles
