Why does one find it necessary to state that there must be more than one universe? If I have a basket full of identical apples, how many apple do I have?

When does an entity become and entity? Is there a difference between pure water in location x with pure water in location y? If time is an element of the observer what is the true meaning of distance?

I propose that there is only one universe where an infinite number of dimensions and zero demensions are at the same point.
