I read through Lisi's exceptionally simple TOE a couple of times. Unfortunately, I never studied Lie groups or Lie algebra. Nevertheless, I think with a few months of dedicated study, one could understand the basics of Lisi's theory. His paper is very heavy on geometry and graphical representations. It actually could pass for 'art' to someone unfamiliar with math or physics, even some pages are suitable for framing.
At any rate, the validity or non-validity of Lisi's theory is in large part waiting on the Large Hadron Collider to get up and running, as the AESTOE relies heavily on the Higgs field and predicts new 'colored' Higgs particles, which could be found in LHC experiments.
In the meantime, I'm gonna learn group theory just in case, and besides it's more challenging than sudoku...
