I'll be spending much time over the coming weeks breathing life into this forum. I'll do that through search engines submissions, increasing link count, updating category/forum descriptions, posting welcome messages to categories, and adding new categories where appropriate. I fully expect that at some point, a threshold will be crossed where this forum takes on a life of its own. I'm not sure what that threshold is or when it will be crossed, but that day is coming. One thing I've done is to add a new
mailing list where you can sign up to receive notification when this forum starts to come alive. The metric I chose is when the number of postings reaches 50. There are other metrics, such as total membership, new members per month, total postings per month, etc. If you think there are other metrics that better indicate live-sustaining activity please post a comment. In the mean while, better get on that mailing list. Thanks!
